West Coast Bike Trip

Before starting summer research jobs at Sandia and Mat starting residency in Montreal, we realized we had some time to go on a bike trip. Always wanted to do the west coast bike tour. We started from Portland, OR and finished in LA, CA around 2500km. It was a really nice trip, we camped, we biked throught pretty remote parts of the US and discovered how busy some of Highway 1 is. Here are some pictures.

alt-text-1 We biked through a bunch of vineyards and flower farms just outside portland, this was pretty much the only part where we weren’t on the coast.

alt-text-1 The first taste of the coast. Oregon was my favorite part of the trip, it was so beautiful and remote - but we did go through some rainy/windy sections - PNW vibes.
